Cookie Policy
This page lists the cookies and similar local-storage entries My-chat-bot sets when you visit my-chat-bot.com to build, train and manage your AI chatbots. It also explains what choices you have over them.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser by a website. It lets the site remember things between page loads — for example whether you have already accepted the cookie banner. Some entries are technically stored in localStorage rather than as classic cookies, but for the purposes of this policy we treat them the same way.
2. Cookies we set
Strictly necessary
- mcb_session — keeps you signed in to your My-chat-bot account. Lifetime: until you close the browser.
- mcb_csrf — protects every form submission against cross-site request forgery. Lifetime: session only.
- mcb_cookie_choice — remembers your response to the cookie banner so we do not show it again. Lifetime: twelve months.
Functional
- mcb_lang — stores your preferred dashboard language. Lifetime: twelve months.
- mcb_last_bot — remembers which bot you were last editing so the dashboard opens to it. Lifetime: ninety days.
Analytics
- mcb_ga — anonymised, first-party analytics. Tracks aggregate page-view counts and approximate session length. Lifetime: thirteen months. Disabled if you decline the analytics layer in the cookie banner.
3. Cookies we do not set
We do not run third-party advertising, retargeting or social-media pixels on My-chat-bot. The only network requests sent outside my-chat-bot.com are to our AI model providers and infrastructure (to power the product) and to Google Fonts for typography.
4. The chat widget
When you embed a My-chat-bot widget on your own site, it sets a small first-party identifier so a returning visitor can continue an existing conversation. You can disclose this in your own cookie policy; the identifier carries no advertising data and is scoped to your bot only.
5. Managing your preferences
You can withdraw consent at any time:
- Clear cookies for my-chat-bot.com in your browser settings. The cookie banner will reappear on your next visit.
- Decline analytics from the banner — strictly necessary cookies will still be set because they are required for the platform to function.
- Use private/incognito browsing if you prefer that no preference is retained between sessions.
